Apple Fritters

Ingredients
- 1 cup Flour sifted
- 1⁄3 cup Milk
- 1⁄1⁄2 tsp. Baking Powder
- 3 tbsp. Powdered Sugar
- 1 Egg well beaten
- 2 Medium Tart Apples thinly sliced
- 1⁃4 tsp. Salt
- Shortening for deep frying (365°F)
Instructions
- Sift Flour, Baking Powder, Powdered Sugar, and Salt into a bowl.
- Stir Milk into Egg and add to dry ingredients; mix well.
- Mix in Apples.
- Drop batter by spoonfuls into deep fat at 365°F.
- Fry 3 minutes, turning fritters during frying.
- Drain on absorbent paper.
Notes
Yield: 1½ dozen fritters.
